Native American Settlers
By 1400 A.D., the Caddo tribe of Native Americans had formed a Confederacy based on agriculture.  By the time European settlers began exploring Texas, there were already two major groups of Native Americans living in eastern Texas:  the Caddo and the Hasinai.
